AltasPak: Pioneering Change Through Action

AltasPak is not just committed to recycling PE plastic; we’re actively driving positive change. Our journey has included:

Awareness Campaigns:

The plastic waste awareness campaign, spearheaded by AltasPak Solid Waste Management Company Pvt. Ltd. on May-07-2024, held in Hyderabad; aimed to address the urgent environmental issue of plastic pollution by promoting recycling and responsible waste management practices. By engaging 40-50 local community members and informal sectors awareness campaigns sought to foster a culture of environmental stewardship and sustainable living within a community.

Waste Segregation Activity by Informal Sector:

Empowering Informal Communities Through Waste Segregation: Our waste segregation initiative in Hyderabad is empowering informal workers while creating a cleaner, healthier environment by using proper use of health safety kits. Providing training, equipment, and support, and building a sustainable future for all.

Celebrating World Environment Day:

At Ferer Hall in Karachi, our team united for a plantation drive, recognizing the urgency of addressing environmental degradation. By planting trees, we sought to not only restore land and combat desertification but also to symbolize our commitment to preserving nature’s delicate balance. Through our collective effort, we aimed to join us in creating a sustainable, resilient future for generations to come.

Strengthening Gender Equality: Insights and Practices from AltasPak’s Internal Training:

AltasPak conducted an internal gender equality training session for staff members and employees. This meeting highlighted our commitment to gender equality by including both male and female participants. The training, led by a professional gender specialist and attended by our operational manager, ensured that we were adhering to gender equality practices and upholding robust gender policies. We emphasized our dedication to providing support and addressing any workplace issues or complaints related to gender.

Cleaning Up for the Future: AltasPak's Beach Cleanup Initiative:

AltasPak successfully executed a beach cleanup initiative today as part of its commitment to environmental sustainability. The operation, conducted in collaboration with university students and AltasPak staff, aimed to reduce plastic pollution and raise awareness among future generations. The primary focus was to eliminate harmful plastic bags from the sea, thereby protecting the delicate mating habitats of marine organisms. This endeavor aligns with the objectives of the PLEASE Project, reinforcing AltasPak’s dedication to promoting sustainable practices. Through collective action, we strive to make a positive impact on our environment and inspire future generations to adopt environmentally conscious behaviors.

BCC (Behavior Change Communication) campaigns:

Broadening Reach through our upcoming BCC (Behavior Change Communication) campaigns will further spread awareness about plastic pollution and promote sustainable practices targeting schools, universities, hospitals, and industries.
